I have gotten a small start on providing a dictionary for those of us who aren't familiar with all those tools and carpentry terms savvy do-it-yourselfers come to know. I wanted a dictionary so no one has to feel "dumb" by asking what something means. Just come here to the dictionary to find the definition. I will use feet in my example. Let's say you have a 11 foot by 10 foot area you want to fill with concrete or stone or decomposed granite. 11 foot * 10 foot = 110 square feet Now you need the third variable (height) before you can determine a cubic foot. Let's say you want a height of 3 inches.
