Appliance Repair Help and Manual Search « Thread Started on Jul 8, 2009, 11:04am »
I know I have often wished I could get my hands on help to repair some of my appliances myself without calling an expensive repair person. I provided a list of some places you may find help.
Most of the manuals for specific appliances cost a bit of money but if you don't have one it may be worth the cost if it will help you fix a problem yourself. If nothing else, it will educate you on the parts to your appliances.
You can go directly to the manufacturers site for a manual to your appliance but they are getting rare to find as many manufacturers have discontinue this service or don't keep manuals available very long. And the truth be told, they don't go into much detail on how to fix things. I guess they want you to buy a new appliance and not actually make your appliance last for years and years.
Repair Clinic---You may be able to find a manual for your brand of appliance and the cost is around $19 to $20 dollars.

Thnks JJ. The last time I had a prob with my clothes washer I no idea how to even approach how to figure out how to address the problem (wOw, is that a convoluted statement or what).
I just rember feeling very frustrated and at a lose of how to tackle the situation.
I basically just pocked & prodded {kind of like a doctor in training} and put back together whatever I had taken apart and guess what, it worked and has ever since.

Dumb luck comes in handy sometimes. I hope for it quite often. LOL I wouldn't have had a clue either about fixing a dryer. Now I have a couple clues after skimming over some of those links I posted.
