I will on the other side of the wall that has the washer and dryer and where the sink will go. Let's see if I can explain it. Where the slope is on the side I am tiling now the drywall runs straight so there is a gap where I pulled off the base boards because the floor dips down. I'm going to cut some wood board to fit the contour of the dip and place the board on the other side of the wall (laundry room). So when I level the cement on the other side it will go under the wall and form a barrier to any water going any further if I should have a flood from the sink or washer.
Hard to envision what I'm talking about. I talked my plan over with my brother and he thinks that will work fine.
But your right to point that out. The slope was put there for a reason but I'm only going to be leveling a tiny bit of the out-skirts of the slope a side that water has never went even when I had my sewer drain plugging up and overflowing.

I understood you so its not as hard to envision as you think. Good idea to make the rest of the basement smooth.
