Every year I put who I think should win American Idol. Perhaps I should be putting who I think will win and not who I think should win. Maybe this year I'll just bypass both and name my favorite.
Best voice: Jessica Sanchez Hands down, the most controlled voice I ever heard and just beautiful.
Who I adored tonight singing Led Zeppelin's Whole Lotta Love. Elise Testone You can tell I have some rock and roll left in me. That was totally awesome!
I get a kick out of Skylar Laine, she is just silly and fun to watch.
The rest are BORING!!!! I'm not saying they are bad singers. They are all good. The problem is there is nothing special about them.
O.K. Did my little AI thing, not that anyone reads this. I just want it for the record.

I haven't been watching it. The last season I watched was the year Ellen Degeneres was a judge. It kind of just got boring. I like X Factor though...gotta love Simon Cowell!

Hello Tumbleweed...
The Mrs and I have always watched American Idol from the beginning.
No doubt, Jessica Sanchez has an amazing voice. One very talented individual.
One could tell that Steven loved hearing Elise Testone sing 'Whole Lotta Love' by Zeppelin. If I may add, she has a touch of Janis Joplin's style/voice.
We both can't stand Skylar Laine, as she acts like she's already a big star and the constant leg/foot stomping, which never seems to stop.
The final three will be:
Colton Dixon
Jessica Sanchez
Phillip Phillips
and the winner is:
*stay tuned.....*
p.s. the Mrs says, Colton Dixon will win!

I don't like Colton Dixon at all but I know he appeals to a lot of young teeny boppers so I wouldn't be surprised if he is in the top three.
If Elise Testone keeps performing like she did last time I'd like to see her in the top 3 and kick Dixon out. ha ha
I think your top 3, Army, are probably dead on.
It did enter my mind that people are either going to hate or love Skylar Laine with nothing inbetween. She isn't so called, "beautiful" and her outfits are ugly but I think she is one who doesn't give a darn what people think and just gets into whatever she is singing.
If Jessica Sanchez wins it will because she finds some songs that appeal to the younger crowd. As far as I'm concerned, she has the best voice by far, like 100 times better than any of them but unless she finds a nitch that would sell records, she won't win.
I'm actually not even interested that much who wins anymore but no doubt I'll watch til the end.
Misty, my enthusiasm for AI is weakening every year. In fact, I'm not really not interested in any of those other "talent" shows. I tried to watch "The Voice" and before I realized what was happening, I was outside pulling last years clematis vines off my fence line.
I watched the X-Factor a few times but lost interest in that. I guess I don't like their format or something.
This could be my last year watching IE unless they come up with some really unique talent. Like another Adam from last year. hee hee.

Uh Oh Army. Your Dixon went bye bye. (I just finally got around to watching it tonight.) Actually, I was really surprised he went home. I thought for sure his appeal to the young crowd would keep him in. So far, my favorites are all there. If I had my way, the next one to go would be either Holly or Joshua. Joshua is much like Jessica in that they both are singing songs that don't appeal to the young crowd. I said it in my previous post about Jessica and NOW Jimmy says the same thing. Sheesh. Fingers crossed Jessica sings something that is current because I fear she could very easily be gone either next week or the following. I also wouldn't cry if Phillip went home this coming week. He is a cute kid and I'm sure could do the clubs and do well (he'll never be famous) but to me, I can't tell one song from the next. They just sound the same. I am very partial to Elise because I love her voice and she looks a lot like a younger version of my niece who also has a wonderful singing voice. Like I said before, I just get a kick out of Skylar so yep, my favorite three are still Elise, Jessica and Skylar. I guess it is wait and see because we all know, anything can happen.

I hear ya on bye bye Dixon and that indeed, was a BIG surprise for the Mrs and I. We thought that Holly would surely go before him.
Now that I've watched the show over the past few weeks, allow me to be honest and that being, I don't really care for any of them, which leads me to a no vote for all.
For some odd reason, the entire show seems disappointing this season.

Funny, I kind of feel the same way. I mean they are all good singers but none of them really wow'd me time after time, like in a few of the past seasons. There were only two times I was really floored by any contestent this season and that was by Jessica singing "I Will Always Love You" and Elise singing "Whole Lotta Love". In fact, I just now had to go back and listen again. Wow, they both were amazing. But aside from those two performances I was pretty bored.
Maybe AI is just loosing it's appeal... I mean you see one good singer and you've seen them all type thing.
Bored or not, I'll stick with it to the end, just to see who does win.

Let's see if my prediction is correct.
I think Phillip will go home tomorrow. (Anybody but my favorite three will be o.k. though.)

My prediction was wrong. I was sooo hoping Elise could stay in a bit longer. Dang.

Well, now I'm down to Jessica, of my three picks. Skylar will go on to do some great country songs, no doubt about it so she doesn't need AI. But wow, once Carrie Underwood hit the stage I could care less about who was going to get voted off. Talk about a gut wrenching and haunting song! I had to go searching for the lyrics because some of it I wasn't sure if I heard right. (crappy speakers on my t.v.). www.lyrics.com/blown-away-lyrics-carrie-underwood.htmlLoved that song.

I also, am down to Jessica, however, got a feeling that Joshua just may take it all to the bank. Never cared for him in the beginning, but since his tutoring along with some great song choices, he could surely win this.

I don't care for Joshua either. I just never got into the kind of music he sings and I never will and I just don't like his kind of singing. It's too blubbery. ha ha ha. That's the best word I can come up with and if you don't understand what I mean, then I'm sorry but I know what I mean. ha ha. I do like watching Joshua as he is a cute kid and does show a lot of expression in his face. But why the judges and evidently America, is ga ga over him, I don't know. I don't care for some of the song choices of Jessica either but she can sing (always perfection) and her voice doesn't annoy me like Joshuas. The thing is, as much as I love Jessica, I just can't see her making it in the business with the type of songs she sings.
Wonder who will be on the chopping block tonight? I honestly have no idea.

Sadly, as I really like this fellow, but think it will be Phillips.

It looks like we both have someone we like in the top two! I still have no idea who will win.
I just can't forget to watch it live as my hard drive on my receiver has kicked the bucket and I've yet to call about a replacement, so I can't record it.
I'm famous for forgetting to watch my favorite shows.

Hello Tumbleweed...
The Mrs and I was sure that Joshua would be in the final two, but to our surprise, he's not. I suppose we got that feeling for Joshua to all those standing ovations from the judges and especially Jennifer with her constant praising of him... "way to much I say!"
As for Jessica and Phillips, boy that is a tough one, but our pick would be Phillips.
Sorry to hear about that hard drive...
