I know nothing about installing pools, ponds or fountains so I am hoping my future members will come along and give great advise on the how to's.

There are tons of books on making ponds and lots of on line info out there too. I just have a little whiskey barrel pond. I had some really cute gold fish in it until last year when we had a bad freeze and they died. They would come up to the top when ever I came close to it. They knew I would feed them. We are moving shortly, so I didn't want to worry about more fish, so now it just has a fountain in it. You can get everything you need for a whiskey barrel pond at Home Depot or Lowes. Plants you may have to order on line depending where you live and what your nurseries carry.

Thanks Pdoo. I love ponds. I bet that was so neat having those fish. Too bad they didn't make it throught that winter. I want a inground pool so bad but it ain't gonna happen any time soon if ever. It would cost me a fortune to put one in on the side of a slope. I've seen such neat things done with slopes like water falls into the pool. Waaaaaaa.

yeah they are neat, but I think you have to be more careful in a cold climate with the pumps. I think you have to winterize them, which seems like a pain.
