Photo Submission Terms
1. All photo's must be owned by you or you must have express permission to use the photo's submitted.
2. You must make your photo's clickable. We recommend using Photobucket. Instructions can be found here. There is also a pop-up on the actual form with condensed instructions as a helpful reminder.
3. You will not hold Shack to Showcase or it's owner (me, &Tumbleweed) , our host (Proboards) or Shack to Showcases' staff liable if any of your photo's are "stolen" from this site. We discourage 'thievery" but if someone wants a photo bad enough there are ways they can get it.
4. If your photo's are of professional quality - meaning someone may want to use them on their site for profitable purposes, we highly recommend you watermark your photo's. Recommended free options are listed below the terms.
5. Shack to Showcase will not use your photo's for any purpose other than displaying them in the gallery.
6. If at some point you would like your photo's removed from our gallery please P.M. the Admin. Please allow up to 3 weeks for your photo's to be removed. Your photo url is embedded in code and removing will take an extraordinary amount of time. As I, the owner of Shack to Showcase and all staff are volunteers, finding the time to remove the photo's can be difficult.
6. Please give the staff at least 3 days to post your photo's. Although it is much easier to add url code to the top of a page unlike removing photos that may be several pages down in the code, it still takes time for the staff to post them. We appreciate your understanding and patience.
Pixenate (see clicky below) is a free online site.
Pixenate Instructions: On the left side of the screen you will see "Choose your image to edit". Once your photo is uploaded click "show fun effects" and select "text". Now type whatever you want and select the text
size/font. Select where you want it on your photo. Usually small text doesn't distract from the photo itself if you put it dead center (which I recommend) as putting it on the edge will allow "stealers" to easily crop that off. You can preview to see how it looks and if you are satisfied you can upload to Flickr (if you have an account there) or save to your hard drive.
Picmarkr is another free online option (See clicky below):
Step 1: Click browse to find your photo on your computer or if you have a Flickr account you can trans-load your photos from there.
Step 2: You can select a text watermark, or a image watermark (if you have a pre-made logo you would like to be your watermark) or you can use the tiled watermark.Or you can use the tiled water
mark which puts the Flickr url all over your photo. Either of these ways will not take that much away from your photo.
Step 3. You can either "Upload images to Flickr" or "Download images to your computer". If you have more than one photo to watermark right below the Download images to your computer there is an option to "Set watermark to other images". Just follow the same steps again.
This is a free down-loadable program:
