I can't find the thread where we discussed different ways to deal with ugly countertops inexpensively, but I did finally find a link to the HGTV show that discussed recovering counters with a stone look finish. There is a way that you can actually make concrete countertops using molds you make but this is much more do-able and certainly more cost effective. Clicky<<

Barb, I think that thread was one of those that got deleted when I thought I was just deleting a sub-board but inadvertantly deleted the board and all sub-boards within it. One of my shining moments.
The technique does look simple. I bet there are other stone looks out there. I'd love to be able to take the time & have the $$ to experiment on different looks. I think as long as you used that bonding primer you could try all kinds of things.
Oh, I hope you don't mind but I went in and edited your post to make that link a clicky.
Thanks for the link. I love HGTV!

I was hoping you would put the clicky thing in Tumbleweed. I used to know how to do them but I'm becoming brain dead.

A ''clicky''. I'm not familiar with that technical term ~ LoL So ya think I should put that exceptionally complicated technical term in the dictionary?
