I have one of those bigger blow up pools. It is 4 feet deep by 18 feet wide. We just cant afford a permenant one at the moment, and we dont plan on living here much longer, so we will wait for an inground one. Or even an above ground one. We usually put the pool up out behind our home, and it works well. It's enough out of sight. And it dosent effect the area it is on to put the sand down to level it. This year, my husband plans on building a garage, right where I put my pool. He wants me to move the pool to the front yard. Which I do not want to at all! It will ruin our grass by putting sand down, and it will look so tacky just sitting there between our home and fire pit. We have just a little over an acre of land, not much. So it will take up alot of space. Any suggestions on what I can do to make it "fit" in a little more? Should I just put it up and do landscaping around it? Or is the sake of beauty outside the home enough to have me forgo my love of swimming?

Oh that would look tacky if it would be visible to every passerby-er, I have to agree with you. I don't think you want to spend the money to landscape around it since it isn't a permanent fixture. I think what I'd do is maybe make some sort of portable but decorative fence around so you can take with you when you move and be ready to slap some sod on it when you are actually moving.
I guess I can't really give good advise without seeing the property layout as to where else you could tuck it in.
Geeze, I didn't know they made such big blow-up pools. Who knew? Not me.

We had one of those quick set pools. Ours was 4 feet deep, but only 13 foot around. boy, it was easy to put up & lasted enough years to truly make it a worthwhile purchase. Our yard has a chain link fence around it & is up off the street level. We put the pool in the side yard. Passers by could still see it, but we planted Hosta's & some tall tiger lilies in front of it. It really looked quite nice & did a decent job of deflecting the eye from the pool itself.

It wouldnt be totally visibly to passerbys. (The land is higher than the road) But I would see it and you could if you looked for it, but still tacky, It would bother me, I think. LOL I love the idea of putting Hostas and taller flowers around it, but since it would be in the middle of the yard, I still think it will look tacky. I really do think there is no hope for it to look nice. LOL Maybe these pictures will give you an idea of what Im working with. (I dont know how to make them small and clickable. If they are to big, I will delete them) These are older pictures from early last year, or the year before. But the general layout is all the same. Where I am standing in this picture, is now where the firepit is. Behind me, the road is lower and blocked by treess/shrubs/and overgrowth of greenery. In the middle, is where the pool would have to go. And in this picture, it shows the driveway. Which is the only view to the road on our property. The rest of us is surronded by trees and woods.
