Not sure where to start but will give it a go! First and most important, it is indeed a pleasure being part of this forum and wishing it and it's members the best! I likewise am the admin of a forum and that is a tough job, so my hat goes off to the staff here.
Having said, now to a bit of info about myself. Retired military ( Army - year '83) and enjoyed every moment of it! Also a retired painter not to mention, several apartment maintenance positions within the Cincinnati area over the years. Married to a lovely lady and we have two children, which are married with families. Things I enjoy, but rarely get around to doing much any more and that would be fishing/golfing.
Well time to stop here and again, thanks for allowing myself to be part of this forum. Hope now and then I can contribute my bits and pieces of knowledge within the forum.

So nice to have you here. I want you to know I appreciate our service men so must thank you for the time you served and it sounds like a long time. I was married to an Air Force guy so I know a bit about military life, having to pull up stakes to move across the country or world. It's a different life but I wouldn't change that experience for anything either. It sounds like you have a ton of knowledge that would help a lot of visitors and members (although they have been scarce lately)so you just jump right in anywhere you want and share that valuable info. Anyway, welcome to my humble little site. Please feel free to put an advert to your site in your siggie and you are more than welcome to put a plug in for it right here in this thread, if you so choose.

First and most important is to allow myself to say thank you for the kind words as to the military. Along with the Mrs, we spent 20 plus years from '63 - '83 and that was enough for us. But now that we look back at it, would have gave another 20 years without question.
Good for you knowing a bit of the military and I've always said, it's a different world compared to civilian life, but that's just me speaking.
Well I gotta run and again, it is my pleasure being part of your forum.

It is a different life, for sure. And it can "get to you" sometimes because they do control a lot of aspects of your life. Even your personal life. I remember when we were in Austrialia they told us we couldn't go "donga bashing", as we called it, because it was too dangerous and they needed my husband alive. lol (It wasn't dangerous, by the way. Just taking dune buggies out in the desert and riding around.) Anyway, the pleasure is all mine, having you here. A side note:(Forgive the smileys if they are wrong. I noticed on some skins I have them in the wrong slot and never bothered to actually fix them all.)
