O.K. I may be talking to myself but lately it seems I have my peripheral vision shut off. I have been tripping on things, stubbing my toe more than once in one day, crashing things I'm carrying into walls and what not. I've been spilling food and just been a big klutz......a mess. I don't know what is going on but it seems I can only fix my sight straight ahead. Maybe it has to do with staring at my computer screen for way too many hours. I've heard you are supposed to exercise your eyes if you sit in front of a computer for long periods of time and I don't do that.
Anyway, I may have bumps and bruises and broken drinking glasses but I am sooooo grateful I haven't been in a car accident.

Hi Tumbleweed.... WOW! is all I can say and by all means, seek some medical attention, sooner than later. A medical doctor I'm not, but only giving advice. You may be at the start of having ear related problems (Vertigo issues) is one I can think of: Ear Disorders by MedlinePlusHopefully it's nothing to be overly concerned about, but as one says, "better safe, than sorry". Keep us updated to your condition and again, I can't stress enough, go see the doc!

When I get like that I blame stress or being over tired. Are you either? Knowing you its probably both.

Thanks both of you. I am actually better. It just lasted a few days. (Sorry, I should have updated my topic.) Honestly, it was exactly as if my peripheral vision was gone. Like a horse with blinders on. It actually wasn't gone because if I forced myself to notice things in my peripheral vision I could see my surroundings. I don't know what was going on. I am always tired and maybe I was feeling stress that day. I can't remember. I am deaf in one ear so it could be vertigo. Who knows. But happily, it hasn't happened since. Thanks for your thoughts on the topic. If it does happen again, I'll probably go see a doctor. I wasn't overly concerned about it. I was actually laughing at how big of a klutz I was.

Wishing I had hearing in both ears, but like you, deaf in the right ear. Went bad around four years ago and vertigo is an issue with myself. Climbing ladders is a no no on this end and I hate that. Oh well as I suppose it is the 'ole fellow showing signs of getter older.
