Watching the first episode tonight but decided to record the rest and watch it later.
I think I may learn a lot by watching this show. If nothing else, I'll be entertained.
My t.v. is usually set on HGTV all the time when I want to watch t.v. My favorites are House Hunters International, Holmes on Homes, Curb Appeal: The Block, Income Property, If Walls Could Talk (although I haven't seen this for ages so not sure if it is still on) and really, I'll watch just about any of the shows on HGTV. Absolutely my favorite channel.
So anyone want to chime in on what is your favorite channel/tv show?

Hey Tumbleweed.... Not enough ProBoards "Characters Remaining" to input this topic. j/k TV:This Old House - Ask This Old House - Home Improvement (tool man Taylor) and so much more! Radio would have to be - At Home with Gary Sullivan and this is one radio talk show I've learned a bunch over the years.

I too like those shows you mentioned. I used to never miss an episode of "This Old House" but I haven't been able to find it for ages. (They actually ended that show didn't they? I was thinking they are just reruns?) I used to watch it all the time and got their magazine as well. I have managed to catch "Ask This Old House" on my dish a while back but haven't ran across it for a while.
Oh wait...not all the shows. Never heard of "At Home with Gary Sullivan". I'll check it out.

Yes they ended that show with Steve Thomas and it in my opinion will never be the same without him! As to "At Home with Gary Sullivan", he is local here in Cincinnati and from what I understand, can be heard all the way to Alaska and I'm sure, further than that. Indeed when you have time, do check it out.

I rarely watch anything other than HGTV and the DIY Network. I do love sitcoms like Home Improvement and Everybody Loves Raymond. Most of the time I don't even watch tv. I'm on the computer or reading.

I'm pretty much like you, Barb. I rarely watch t.v. The only time I watch it is when I'm in my bedroom doing something like getting ready to go to sleep, putting away laundry or cleaning. I usually watch a couple of the shows I mentioned in my above post before I go to sleep.
I do purposely sit with my Mom for lunch (when I have time) and watch either/or both "The Gaithers" (both Mom and I have met many of Gaither people when they were first starting out many, many years ago, so they are special to us even though we don't know them on a real personal basis plus we love the old gospel songs they tend to sing.) and "Highway to Heaven". At supper I sit with her while we eat to watch recorded Bonanza, Andy Griffith or Gunsmoke.
But honestly, for the most part, I think television is total trash.

I liked Villa better but eventually I grew to like Thomas and watched it when ever I could. There was this one show that I loved and I can't think of the name of it and I can't remember either of the hosts names. All I can remember about is there this guy and girl that had a cool comradery that was delightful. They'd take on all kinds of projects fixing things. I remember one of the shows had something to do with a cabin in the mountains but I think at that time the girl I liked so much was replaced by someone else. I think it was on maybe a couple years. I remember being so bummed when it was canceled and especially when they replaced the girl with someone else. Why I can't think of the name of the show or the hosts names is beyond me...and a show I loved. This old brain is giving out on me.

I watch Ellen, NCIS, House, & Ghost Hunters regularly but that's about it. I do see (or rather hear) programs that Bill watches like hunting & fishing shows, WWE (YUCK) or shows on Animal Planet, but they are just background noise. I never watch HGTV....gardening & cooking shows, etc just don't interest me.

(Mind you, I don't have a problem with people hunting and fishing if they really eat what they kill, but still, I just can't watch them.) Considering you don't care for HGTV I have to really appreciate you are posting on this site at all. I have zero interest in the cooking shows since I hate to cook and really not a lot of interest in gardening shows either. It is just the fix it, decorate it, sell it, buy it type shows I like on HGTV. Ellen is so very funny and I've always liked her. I just don't ever think to watch her show.

hahaha......I don't watch the shows because I have absolutely no interest in a half hour (or hour) watching someone do a home project. I like this site because I can pick & choose what to read. I can ask a question or read someone elses post if its something I need to know. Since Bill's injury, I do need to learn some things & I prefer this medium over a TV show. I still don't ENJOY doing home repairs, but I like knowing I CAN if I need to. Besides, you just have the BEST people here!
