I remember these books or comics or something from when I was little that had this dialogue & then That's good....and the next page was That's bad. Anyway, that's the type of week I've had.
Took Bill to see the spasticity Dr yesterday. This Dr has specialized in helping people with muscle spasticity for 18 years! He really gave Bill a good exam & deemed him a candidate for Botox injections. So next month we take him in for injections in his shoulder, arm, thumb, & elbow. After the injections it takes about a week to see results & then he should be able to get approved for more PT since the therapist will be able to work on his arm & hand without Bill tightening up. So...that's good.
I've been majorly sick all week. Shannon brought it home from school. Wasn't it nice of her to share it with me? LOL Started as a head cold, settled in my chest (I'm breathing like Darth Vader now), and then today it decided to invade my stomach. Needless to say, I've been a miserable mess. I can't breath, can't sleep, my ears are clogged, I can't stop coughing...its awful. So...that's bad.
So, how's everyone else doing?

I'm so sorry you are so sick. It sounds like it is getting you from every angle. Tell Shannon she is the sweetest daughter. You know, it used to be winter was when flu and colds went around but now you can get them anytime of the year. But I like the good news. Again, I marvel that Botox is good for that. I never knew. I can't wait to hear how it works for him and how the physical therapy goes. And for your question, I'm doing good. Tired but good. My sister brought home a whole bunch of irises that someone was giving away so I really need to get out and plant them but I just am not in the mood and tomorrow I was just planning on having a "prop myself up in my bed and watch movies day" and not do anything (except take care of Mom) but I may have to forget that to get them planted, if I don't do it today. I hope you are taking it easy and working on getting better doing all the things you are supposed when sick. P.S. I think I remember those books that taught you good from bad.

Hello misty.... Allow myself to add that you could not have picked a better subject titled: "That's good....that's bad" and will go right to the good first (if I'm reading this correct). Good for Bill and let him know that we will always send ,s his way and sounds as if the doc is getting things in order for him (the healing process) and again, that's good. As to the "that's bad", hope your feeling better as we know you'll take care of yourself. Just hang in there and let mother nature take her course. You may need some bed rest with medicine but only one person would know that, and that would be you.

Ron--I'm definitely getting meds. My mom brought me some sudafed & I bought some Nyquil today. Also taking pepto bismal for the stomach issues. I have some OJ & gingerale & 3 boxes of tissues. As for the bed rest...HA! I nap when Bill is napping. Thankfully his meds make him tired so I do get to nap, but that's it. He needs 24/7 attendance.
JJ--I never knew Botox was used for that purpose until Bill's PT told us about it. My dad was teasing Bill that his right arm will never get wrinkles! hahaha

Hmmm, Maybe you could "accidently" fall in front of the needle and get some wrinkles taken care of. Not saying you have wrinkles but in case you did. I take that back. Bill needs those shots. Well, my idea of being a bum tomorrow are shot. I got a call from my sister that lives in Wyoming and she is at my brothers right now up by South Dakota and they are all heading here tomorrow. Gee, I love the warning some people give. Don't get me wrong, I love having them come but it is kind of bad timing since I"m trying to integrate Lion King into the household. And then they ask if they can watch the football game when they get here. Well! What nerve!

I guess it could be worse...they could have just shown up with no warning at all. It is kind of rude though. I hope you end up having a nice visit anyway.

Seems with the meds, you have just about everything under control and I say, good for you. Tell Bill we down here in the Cincy area, do say hello and wish the best always. The Mrs and I are not strangers to those type of "we're on our way" and it sorta puts one in an awkward position, we always say, "it's family", well something like that... LOL By the way, the Mrs is from the Dakota's and we visited N.Dak (her sisters place) some 4 years ago. Lordy that place is isolated!
