Sometimes the corners of your draperies want to curl or not hang nicely. If you don't have drapery weights to insert go hunt through your tool box for metal washers. In some cases you can easily slide them in the corner hem or if the hem is securely stitched shut, just use light stitches to secure them to the back side. No one will ever see them unless they are total snoops. If you need a little more weight than one washer provides you can easily work them further in the hem line or stitch on more.
If you really want a sharp point for your corner hem some flat L brackets will be perfect.
If you are sewing your own drapes, plan to leave an open edge hem for removal when it is time to have them washed.

One secret in the area of window dressing is the tiny drapery weight: so small and unobtrusive, yet so important for making curtains and drapes hang properly from a window.
