Every so often I do a search to see what things are still made in the USA. It just makes me sad to see the list grow smaller and smaller. My favorite hoover brand vacumm has now been sold to a Hong Kong company. I have vowed I will not buy any appliances or electronics made in China but I'm wondering if that is possible anymore. Link to "Still Made in the USA": www.stillmadeinusa.com/appliances.htmlFor Christmas, my brother and sister went together and bought me a Sanyo micorwave made in China. Four months later and it is not working. I'm currently trying to find the receipt but maybe my brother didn't give it to me so will be calling him if I can't find it. I'll update you on what happens there. (Meanwhile, I brought the old microwave back in from the garage. (Glad I didn't call someone to take it where ever they take microwaves) It works pretty good but below the glass plate, all the coating came off and there is rusted metal of some kind, which is why they bought me a new microwave. ) Do you have some favorite appliance that are now made in China? Any complaints on the products made in China? What country do you prefer your appliance be made, if not the USA? Feel free to comment about anything regarding our manufacturing all going overseas. I also ran across this article regarding cars: (I wish these people who write articles like this would date them. Not sure how old this is.) www.familyfinancialhelpusa.com/buying-a-car/american-car-brands-not-totally-american-made/

Tumbleweed...
Great topic and thanks for sharing those links. Seems everything we buy anymore, is made in China or elsewhere. I for one, feel that we need to do some in house (our government) homework, to see just what works for a FREE nation, as ours.
We indeed have the means within this country, to make the BEST! of everything, and it's about time, we see more of "MADE IN THE USA".

Amen to that!
I'm tired of wondering if the product I'm using is even safe to use. Especially when it comes to products that could easily harm me, like microwaves. At least if it is made here, I can feel reasonably sure, no one making the product hates Americans or the USA. No guarantee of course.
