Maybe someone here is a manager? Can you give me some pointers on wth I have to do to get full time hours? I work at Casey's home of the famous pizza/slash service station. Its really good if you never tried it, I gaurentee, you will like it.
I do extra things cleaning wise, others are too lazy to do.Keep up on stocking sandwiches. When he is in the middle of something, and has to go to the bank, I finish the project up for him When he is in the freezer and cooler, throws boxes out, I take them to the dumpster where others tip toe around it. The other day, I managed to scrub the yellow crud that was stained around his chair for the past ten months.I thought it permanent, but it came up.The floor looked great and I buffed it. I try not to complain about hours. The last time two full time positions came up a girl came from another state and got one position.I wrote him a note and asked if I could have the other please? What happens? Two part timers are hired.ugh! I like my manager and don't mind doing extra. My hours are very flexible.Still nothing. I really don't want to get another part time. Thanks for advice.

Why does it seem promotions always go to undeserving people. At least that is how I feel sometimes.
We have Casey's here but I've never tried their pizza. I guess I'll have to try it sometime.
I don't know Stluee, it sounds like you are a hard worker and I'm not sure why they brought in that other girl from another state. Maybe she had some connections with the boss or somehow got recommended. That stinks, though.
I also know companies are trying to make ends meet and they hire part-time so they don't have to pay certain things. Maybe if the economy gets better you'll get that full time.
All I can say is keep working hard, be on time and work as often as possible when asked to work extra. That is about all you can do.
Before a position comes up again, you may want to talk to him personally, rather than a note. (I know, sometimes that can be hard to do.) Maybe just ask if there is going to be a chance you can be full time, that you like working at Casey's, but you may have to take another part time job and that may cause less flexibility with the hours you do work. Or something like that. Just a very friendly chat.
I wish you luck. I hope you do get full time soon. That would stink if you had to get another part-time job.
