oh joy, I get to start sanding and patching my bedroom walls and trim, so I can finally start painting the last room. I am cleaning the house up today, so I don't have to worry about it for a week or two while we are working on it. Gosh I hate sanding! and painting window trim, YUCK!!!

I know, I know. I have before pics of the bathroom and kitchen, but not the other rooms. I need to take more. I have no flooring down in the kitchen and bath yet. The carpet in the rest of the house is going too. I want to be done with all the painting before we have the flooring done. It's all such a process! It will be a year in December that we started with the bathroom. I have finished painting the bathroom, kitchen, and living room. I need to do the doors in my sons room, but the rest is done. I just want to be done so we can move, ugh!

I like painting but I really hate stripping and sanding so I can sympathize with you.
Maybe it will go faster if you do like they do on "Designed to Sell" and similar shows. Every time they get ticked they rub their fingers together and say "Kaching! Kaching!" More money! Lots of money!
A nicely done house is going to sell so much faster and for so much more money. Picture Clive Pearce standing in front of your house saying it sold for $30,000 over the asking price. ;D

It is such a long process because in order to do one thing you find ten other things that have to be done first.

So how is it going Pdoo? You know I've been looking at my attic thinking I really want to paint the walls and I had this fleeting thought that it shouldn't take too long. Ya, right....it always takes wayyyyy longer than one thinks.
I bet you are so sick of painting.

Yes I am sick of painting. I didn't start the bedroom after all. Hubby had to go into the attic to change some wiring and had to have the power off all day last weekend. While he was up there I asked him to put a switch on our motion lights that are on the front of out house, because they are hard wired and when the Santa Anna winds kick up for days at a time they get stuck on because of the trees blowing in the wind setting them off. It runs up the bill, and we are really short on cash right now. Well he didn't wire something right and he put a short in it and it kept blowing the fuse to some of my lights and a ceiling fan, so he called his dad who is an Electrician and he told him how to fix it. Hopefully he will have time tomorrow. This is getting to be a long story. ........So since I had not much light to do anything on the bedroom, I went into the pantry and ripped out some of my shelf paper to change. I had cans everywhere, then the sun was going down and I couldn't see well enough to put the new shelf paper on. Ii had to leave everything a mess and cans everywhere. It sat like that for 4 days because I kept getting side tracked with other things that needed to be done. I even oiled my front door to take a picture of it for you TW, but while I was doing that I noticed an off place in my painting and started picking at it. Now I have to repaint a spot because my dang OCD traits got the best of me and I took off some of the paint on the door frame, so I didn't take the picture yet. Lately I just feel like I am spinning my wheels. I need to focus on one thing instead of bouncing all over the place. I get too easily bored with a project and have to do something else, so needless to say I have unfinished crap all over the place.

Oh, I know how you feel. I have unfinished crapola all over too. And it gets so darn frustrating when you are gung-ho to get going on something and then some obstacle gets in your way. GRRRRR. But I'm so tickled you attempted to take a picture. I was pricing digital camera's yesterday when I was in Office Max and I think I found one I may splurge and get. I shouldn't, money has been so tight around here too but I haven't bought myself anything since Mom moved in. I think I deserve it. Plus I need one for this web site so I can take before and afters and just use pictures to show processes. Anyway, I sure hope you can get your ducks in a row and get some stuff accomplished. But darn those ducks are so uncooperative.

I took a couple pics of the door, but I still have to down load them. I also forgot to mention that my hubby broke the automatic garage door last night. It wouldn't close all the way, so he forced it. Now the track is bent, a wheel fell off, it's all crooked, pulley things all messed up, and still stuck half way down. I have no idea what it will cost to fix it. The repair guy is coming tomorrow. We are totally broke and will be lucky to buy groceries. I am just pissed about the whole situation.

Oh no! It makes you wonder if he didn't force it - would have it been such a big problem, doesn't it?
I'm sorry Pdoo. I sure hope it doesn't cost too much.

The guy is coming this morning to fix it. It probably would have been an easy fix if he hadn't forced it. He has no patience with anything and does that a lot. I have had to stop him in the middle of fixing something because he was going to make it worse than it already was. I'm pretty good at figuring out how things work or why they aren't working, but my son is fabulous at it! I think he should go to Technical Engineering School.

We had a tiny bit of our fender on one of our cars that was offline. If you were careful, you could ease the door open wihout causing more damage but dh forced the door open when he was mad one day and it ripped a chunk right off. I so understand you about dh's forcing things. No patience at all!
