I was reading on a manufacturers site of above ground pools that having an above ground pool with a dark color will not last as long as one with a light color. Anyone ever hear of that? They never really said why.

I would imagine that the dark color would absorb more sunlight and heat and deteriorate the plastic. I can't think of any other reasons.

Your right! And the water reflecting would make it even worse. I never would have thought of that if I were buying one.

me either. oh, but the water would be warmer in a darker pool, so I guess you just have to figure out if you want a pool to last longer or be warmer.
