Hey, I like your tips about how to identify a secure web-site. I didn't know that!!!
Your blog is looking good. Sorry you had to concede most all your coding knowlege to get it to work here.
Can't wait to see how you tackle that hole. I know I had a huge hole in my bedroom ceiling when I moved in and I didn't know what I was doing when I patched it. I learned by my mistakes. Hopefully, that little patch won't be too difficult.

I love the dressing table and desk! I can't wait to see everything completed but had to tell you I want your furniture.

Thanks Barb...I love them too. I usually don't spend much money on things but when I saw those I had to have them. They are art deco antiques with walnut burlwood. If I had a lot of money I'd probably get burlwood furniture for every room in the house.

I totally love those pieces too. Gorgeous!
I have one antique with burlwood. It is a little table I use to put my laptop on in my bedroom and only has the very center in burlwood. I love it too (as you may have noticed in my "wood 101" board) I think mine is walnut too but I'm not positive.
What's funny is burlwood is kind of an accident but yet it produces the most amazing patterns.

Well, shoot! You know that is so common when one tries to fix one thing....inevidibly there is something else that needs to be fixed first.
Sorry this happened. Oh no! I just remembered....wasn't that bathroom just redone upstairs?

New linoleum was put down by an unexperienced family member. (trying to be helpful) Unfortunately, I wasn't here when it was done. I didn't know how the floorboard looked until I started working on the basement ceiling. I am a little afraid of the upstairs bathroom falling through to the basement bathroom. I would feel better knowing that the tub won't come crashing down on my head. Therefore I will refer to a professional for advice.

I think that is a wise decision.
I already know my upstairs bathroom will need all new sub-flooring. I can see they used the cheapest fabricated pressed wood they could find. Hopefully, the supporting joists are o.k.
Anyway, I sure hope it isn't too costly to get your problem rectified. Ha, ha. Who am I kidding. Nothing is cheap now-a-days.

Good news about the flooring! I totally love the round mirror and your faucets. And your right, even the picture of the light fixture on the box looks like chrome. I do think that was pretty good bargain shopping.
So are you going to try to do the light fixture yourself. I'm scared to death of electrical things but I will do light switches if I must.

Yes, I am going to do everything myself. I am a little frightened about working on the electrical and the plumbing. I saw a spinal surgeon today and I have been placed on an opiate based pain medication. I'm not sure how it is going to effect me yet, but I'll be finding out in the next few hours. I'm hoping I will be able to work without suffering a lot of pain.

Oh you are really into the strong pain meds. I was so scared when the doc suggested opiate based pain meds for Mom. We finally got her on a 3 day patch (Fentynal (sp?) patch) and it is wonderful for her. If you don't like how they make you feel they may be able to find another med that helps. There are a few out there. Anyway, make sure you are in the right frame of mind before you attempt the electrical stuff. At least your house is a fairly newer house that will probably have the right colored wires. My house you don't know which is the hot one because they are both black. Grrrr. And half of the plugs are installed up-side-down.

Are you still at a stand still regarding the renovations? I know you have been in another city more than you have been home so no doubt you haven't made much progress. I think you mentioned you may just end up hiring someone for the bathroom. Can't blame you there.

Hey, your avatar is gone again. ROTFL That tiger wanders away a lot! Maybe it is that time of the year. Har, har, har.
Wonder why that keeps happening? Are you exceeding your bandwidth at your photo host?
