I hate to cook. I hate to grocery shop yet I'm finding myself loving to watch Food Network Star. What is up with that? I'm not a fan of cake or cupcakes much less making them, but in the wee hours of the morning when I'm finally getting ready for bed, to get myself to relax, I find a recorded show of Cupcake Wars or The Cake Boss. (Yes, I took the time to actually set it up to record these shows.) What is wrong with me?

Did I hear "cake or cupcakes" mentioned here? The Mrs and I are BIG! fans of both, not to mention, adding cupcakes to our icecream for dessert later on in the evening.

This one grocery store used to have cupcakes that I loved. The frosting was to die for but then they went and changed it. So I never eat cake or cupcakes unless at a wedding or birthday.
I was also thinking, it is kind of funny that I love watching Food Network Stars since much of their cooking is of meat...me being a vegetarian and all. Still, I just love seeing their presentations although I really wouldn't want to eat their food. I can't stand people talking over the food I'm going to eat and they man-handle the food itself too much. I'd be totally grossed out if I had to eat what they cook.
One show I didn't enjoy was when they were cooking lobster. I just get sick thinking of the poor lobster going in the boiling hot water. That is just too cruel for me. Of course if I start thinking about the other cruelties that happen to put steak, chicken and other meat on the table, that kind of makes me sick too. It's a hard world to stomach sometimes.
Regardless, I'll still watch those silly shows.
