I ended up being the contractor to refurbish/remodel/fix my home and not by choice but necessity. Long story which I'll tell in another thread.
Needless to say I was daunted by the task. I had 6 months to complete a list that was a mile long. One of the things I am so grateful I didn't do was put in the insulation in the attic before the roof was tore off and replaced.
When they tore off the roof you would not believe the debris that came down into the attic. Had I put the insulation in and the drywall there would have been dirt and crud trapped forever there and consistently dropping down threw cracks making it a project of dusting every day.
I'm curious how other people feel about it. Do you tear off the roof first and replace or go ahead and insulate the attic and finish it off before the roof???
Maybe some of you would say it really doesn't matter?

It makes sense to me to make sure you have a secure foundation, then work on the outside first if its bad, before you do anything inside.
Any cracks or weak spots on the outside have the potential for letting in moisture and extreme weather changes which could damage the inside. If moisture got in the walls, you would have a mess.
Me thinks you did it right. ;D
